Picking out an outfit might be easy to most women, but stocking a store filled with several stylish outfits can be a daunting task.  Owner Gwendy Long carefully chooses the right assortment of the latest fashions and classic silhouettes that Baltimore women will appreciate.  Her hard work and pride were not in vain: Holly G has won five Best of Baltimore awards in the four years it has been open.

Dresses: Chic, Housed in the historic Mt. Washington Mill Wheel House, Holly G Boutique, 1340 Smith Avenue, 410-433-3389, carries dresses from popular designers on both coasts like Eva Franco, Parameter, SINE, and Trovata. -Best of Baltimore Magazine, 2009
Trendy Clothes Holly G, two locations including 1340 A Smith Avenue, 410-433-3389, has breathed new life into two shopping districts—Federal Hill and Mt. Washington. The boutiques are enticing—even down to the warm citrus scent—and the clothes make us giddy. This classic shop carries smart lines including Velvet, Ixia, and Eva Franco. And we can't get enough of the gorgeous day dresses, figure-flattering tops, and tailored slacks. There's a great selection of denim and accessories, too. – Best of Baltimore Magazine, 2008
While nothing could replace the sorely missed Cherry Tomato--a boutique before its time-- there's a new(ish) bitch in town selling the adorable, but never precious, designer Mon Petit Oiseau. Holly g of Federal Hill inspires ladies who love luxury fabrics, contemporary cuts, and fabulous lines we've never heard of but became instant fans of (Linea O and Dace). The selection of major sweaters, dressy silk tops and dresses, and lovely prints is punctuated with the perfect black leather jacket, girly tan topper, and covetable ruby suede fitted peacoat. A giddy dig through the half-price racks in the back yields more sizes than is often the case--hugely satisfying for the girl whose eye for style is bigger than her budget. Good golly, Miss Holly, you sure know how to buy. –Best of City Paper, 2007
Weekend Clothes You’re headed out for a quick weekend getaway and Holly G, 1018 S. Charles Street, 410-962-1506, the Federal Hill uber-chic boutique, is like the AAA of clothes. Denim-For-Immortality jeans for easy travel, Alice & Trixie flirty top for dinner out, Wendy Hill eyelet mini for sightseeing, and a Dutchy buttery, leather bag to tote home souvenirs. Now, if only they sold traveler’s insurance! – Best of Baltimore Magazine, 2007
Jeans This is not a denim super store. There are not walls or even bins overflowing with jeans. In fact, Holly G’s, 1018 S. Charles Street, 410-962-1506, Federal Hill’s newest boutique, is about the size of a studio apartment—in New York City. Owner Gwendolen Long carefully edits down the now-massive selection of denim labels to a few sure-fire hits. Frankie B, Rosner, Denim for Immortality, and Red Engine not only fit an assortment of figures, but they’re not the same brands you see everywhere else. – Best of Baltimore Magazine, 2006
